Is it just us, or has 2022 been the best year for movies in a long time? This year alone, we’ve seen Everything Everywhere All At Once, The Northman, The Worst Person in The World, X, Top Gun: Maverick, Nope, and more. With cinema the best its been in a while, there’s no better time to catch a movie at your local theater. For one day only, movie theaters nationwide are offering $3 tickets for “National Cinema Day”.
The Cinema Foundation is a program dedicated to promoting the industry by investing in diverse workforces and growing moviegoing communities. In an effort to remind the masses of the magic of the movies, the group is offering special $3 movie tickets for participating theaters.
“After this summer’s record-breaking return to cinemas, we wanted to do something to celebrate moviegoing,” said Cinema Foundation president, Jackie Brenneman.
“We’re doing it by offering a ‘thank you’ to the moviegoers that made this summer happen, and by offering an extra enticement for those who haven’t made it back yet.”
Tickets will go on sale nationwide on Saturday, September 3, for over 3,000 theaters including major screening companies such as Regal Cinemas, AMC, and major film studios. Participating studios for National Cinema Day include A24, Paramount, Lionsgate, Disney, Sony, United Artists Releasing, Universal, Neon, Focus Features, Warner Bros, Disney, and Amazon Studios.
