Like meditation, yoga is a practice of centeredness and concentration. It’s a discipline of balance in the face of stress and adversity — that which may be difficult to do when resisting the urge to snuggle one of the herd of baby goats bouncing around.
Test your balance this season with Goat Yoga Dallas, who’ve rounded up a trip of wholesome, head-butting yoga sessions.
The next session takes place bright and early Saturday morning, April 24, at Capp Smith Park in Watauga. Each session is BYOM – bring your own mat. Goat Yoga asks attendants not to enter the fenced off area earlier than 15 minutes before class. After the yoga, visitors will have time at the end of class to pet and pose with the goats for cuddly photo ops.
Sanitizing stations and antibacterial wipes will be available at the outdoor event. Visitors will need to sign a liability waiver and answer a number of COVID-related questions. Masks are not required.
Also, the goats are not potty trained; take that as you will.
If you need a little time to stretch, Goat Yoga also have events scheduled for Sunday, May 16 at the Toyota Music Factory; Saturday, May 22, in Addison Circle Park; and Saturday, June 5, at Little Elm. Ticket prices vary by event.
