The 1980s are making a come back. Be it the nostalgia-saturated Stranger Things, kaleidoscopic fashion lines, or droves of new wave, synth-driven music flooding the sound waves. Travel back in time at McFly’s, the pub made in the image of what’s been called the most ’80s movie ever made.
McFly’s Pub in opened in Fort Worth last August. As emblazoned on its McFly’s rooftop neon sign, the pub is very much a neighborhood bar. It’s cozy, unassuming from the outside, and employed with a friendly and hospitable staff. Its retro interior doesn’t stick to the ’80s though, but rather mirrors that of a ’50s milkshake bar as seen in the movie. The aesthetic is mixed in with an ecclectic variety of antiques, murals, and vinyl-clad bar stools.
At McFly’s, visitors can also go for a round of pool, darts, or game in the vintage flight simulator or at their classic arcade games. When things go back to normal, the pub also has a stage for live music.
From the bar, McFly’s serves 10 draft lines, 15 varieties of canned and bottled beers, as well as themed cocktails. Even if you weren’t around for the ’80s, you can still get into the spirit, so to speak, with their cocktails and shots, such as their Gigawatt Shot with tequila, blue Curacao, and Malibu Rum.
It’s worthy to note that McFly’s got the blessing from Doc Emmett Brown actor, Christopher Lloyd, himself in a personalized message!
