1. Rush Patisserie Pastry Boutique And Cake Salon
Rush Patisserie owner, Samantha Rush, was formally an accountant at a Big Four firm before enrolling in a pastry school in pursuit of her dreams in 2000. Less than a decade later, the Le Cordon Bleu graduate opened one of the cutest bakeries in Dallas and continues to whip up tasty and refined desserts, macarons, muffins, eclairs, wedding cakes, and more!
2. Emporium Pies
Nothing says home cooking like a handmade pie. Experience good old southern hospitality from the fine folks over at Emporium Pies, where there homespun pies are winning over hearts throughout the Lonestar State. Speaking of hearts, Emporium is offering a special box of Valen-pies for the romantic holiday. Make your SO smitten with a box of nine heart-shaped treats!
3. Kookie Haven
In 2015, sisters Briggs, Darla, and Haynes McCuen reopened Kookie Haven a decade after their family’s business of the same name closed. Five years later, and the sisters are serving some of the tastiest cookies, cakes, and treats in the city – their strawberry cake is not only precious, but utterly divine. For the time being, Kookie Haven is open from Tuesday to Thursday for prepaid pickup only. Walk-in are available Friday and Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm.
4. Village Baking Co. Boulangerie
The chefs over at Village Baking Co. are all about that bread. Begun in 2004 by a young couple, Village Baking Co. brings the Old World Style of bread-making into their bakery. In addition to their artisan bread, the Boulangerie offers a splendid assortment of flaky pastries, enticing croissants, and yummy sweets.
5. Bisous Bisous Patisserie
The sight of the darling pastries, cakes, and macaroons at the Parisian Bisous Bisous Patisserie, is enough to make your heart swoon. But a bite out of any given pastry at the bakery, and you’ll fall in love. Bisous Bisous offers an eclectic mix of French-style pastries, from eclairs, cruffins, and tarts, to cookies, scones, and everything in between. Everything is precious, everything is delicious.
6. Society Bakery
Society Bakery was founded here in Dallas, by native Texan, Roshi Muns. But with all its accolades coming from Hollywood, including being voted as the 10 Best Cupcakes by the Ellen Degeneres Show, you would think it was a product of LA. Thankfully it is not, for those of us here in Dallas get to reap in its award-winning cupcakes, cakes, cookies, and specialty treats at will.
7. Sprinkles
Sprinkles is a small-batch bakery that whips up everything from decadent cupcakes to delicious ice cream. “Baked fresh in small batches throughout the day, our confections are handcrafted from the finest ingredients,” the bakery writes on its website. “We bake something for everyone offering cupcakes, layer cakes, cookies, brownies and ice cream.”
