Just in time for the summer, a beachy new hangout has opened up in Dallas. Hospitality group, Exxir Capital – the design-forward thinkers behind some of Dallas’ most beloved establishments including Paradiso, Mermaid, Casablanca, Garden Shed, and more – have opened up their latest concept: a boozy shoreline along Bishop Lane.
Get out your sunscreen, tank top, and copy of Where the Crawfish Sing, because there’s a new beach in town. Exxir has opened an urban beachfront pop-up between its two restaurants, Tejas and Casablanca.
Fit with beach shack bar, umbrella seating, rotating weekend DJs, local vendors, and crisp hot sand, Bishop Lane is a summer must in Dallas.
“Celebrate the month-long launch of Bishop Arts’ new outdoor food, drink, and pop-up shop venues – all set within a tropical outdoor plaza in the heart of the District,” the organization wrote on Instagram.
Here, patrons will have access to Casablanca and Tejas, which have added new menu options for this special pop-up. New items from Casablanca include noodles, bites, and crafted cocktails, while Tejas has added and street tacos, various elote dishes, and tropical cocktails to their menu.
Opened earlier this year, Casablanca is a vibrant cafe that transports patrons to the Silk Road with its unparalleled ambience and dazzling variety of craft cocktails and shared plates. Its neighbor and fellow Exxir concept, Tejas, opened a few years prior as a gorgeous, upscale, and healthy take on Tex Mex.
The pop-up on Bishop Lane also hosts live music from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Fridays and from 7:30 to 10:30 pm on Saturdays.
Dallasites can visit Bishop Lane now at 200 N. Bishop Ave.
