Summer is here, Dallas! Time to have some fun in the sun. Get active this weekend at the Courts of McKinney for the Break the Love pop-up. The exciting summer pop-up celebrates American’s new favorite sport with publicly-accessible pickleball games, lessons, live music, as well as food, giveaways, and more!
This Saturday, June 29th, Break The Love, in partnership with Walmart, is taking over the Courts of McKinney in the Dallas Metropolitan Area for an exciting afternoon of pickleball and park fun.
From 10 am to 2 pm, the event invites pickleball enthusiasts of all levels to come and enjoy free play while learning more about the growing sport. Break The Love will have professional players on-site to help beginners as well as advanced players learn the ropes and/or up their game.
If you’re a true beginner without a paddle – don’t worry. The event will also provide free pickleball equipment rentals.
In addition to pickleball-themed park games, prizes, and giveaways, the event will also have live music as well as food, drinks, and other refreshments to cool down after the action.
Break the Love hosts pop-ups across the country with events ranging from San Francisco, New Orleans, and Chicago, to Fayetteville, Ann Arbor, and Denver. Its mission is to make pickleball and other recreational sports more accessible to everyone.
The Break the Love summer pop-up takes place from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday, June 29th, at the Courts of McKinney. The courts are located at 3253 Alma Rd. Mckinney, TX 75070.
The event is free and open to the public but visitors are encouraged to book a reservation beforehand through the organization’s website. Reservations are first-come, first-served.
