Candlelight: The Best of Zelda
You don’t have to be a die-hard Zerd to know about the legendary world of Zelda and the huge impact it’s had on pop culture. You might be familiar with the epic battles between good and evil, the colorful characters and the Triforce created by the three goddesses of Hyrule, Din, Nayu and Farore. Nonetheless, its music also played a huge role in the popularity of the game, managing to captivate the hearts of players worldwide due to its emotive and nostalgic melodies.
Inspired by the Kyoto countryside, composer Koji Kondo created elaborate and catchy sounds using only few notes. He was influenced by a range of music genres including medieval, folk and 20th century classical music to score the original video games and was highly praised for his work within the Zelda world. You can relive his compositions for Link’s Awakening, Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, The Wind Waker, and more, at the First Presbyterian Church of Dallas.
Surround yourself with music and wonder at this captivating tribute to the iconic melodies of The Legend of Zelda. This season, the First Presbyterian Church of Dallas will come alive with the lyrical melodies of Kondo, in an evening that promises to amaze. The concert starts at 7:30 pm, which is perfect if you want to grab a post-show dinner as well.
Whether you prefer going on your own, with a date, friend or loved one, you’re sure to be mesmerized by the bright sea of candles.
