Experience your favorite Christmas movies like never before!
What’s your favorite Christmas movie? Do you enjoy the quirky fun-lovingness of Will Farrell in Elf; perhaps you go full rabbit costume on nostalgia with A Christmas Story, or maybe you rep the Griswold’s Christmas Vacation. Wherever you stand, you can fully immerse yourself in Christmas classics at the I Love Christmas Movies exhibition in Dallas next week!
It looks like Dallas is on the Nice List this year, because Santa is lugging the entire North Pole down to the Gaylord Texas Resort & Convention Center this holiday season. Gaylord Texan’s 17,000-sq. ft. pop-up opens next week as a never-before-seen mult-sensory walk-thru exhibit.
“Enjoy the magic of Christmas in a completely new way,” the hotel writes on its event page. “As guests young and young-at-heart navigate the multi-sensory exhibits, they will enjoy 13 fully immersive scenes complete with replicas of film props, audio clips and more, making participants feel as if they have stepped into part of the actual story!
At I Love Christmas Movies, visitors with an affinity for elf culture can walk through “over 13 fully immersive scenes that you make you fee as if you’ve stepped into the actual story, complete with replicas of film props, audio clips, and more,” according the event website.
You might not be able to dodge a series of boobytraps à la Home Alone, but you will be able to join Buddy The Elf on his voyage from the North Pole to New York City, admire the Griswold’s over-the-top house light display and experience larger-than-life scenes from other Christmas classics including: The Polar Express, A Christmas Story, and The Year Without A Santa Claus.
