What is Cirque du Soleil’s Songblazers?
Songblazers is Cirque du Soleil’s latest theater production. Inspired by the pioneers of country music, the production was created in collaboration with musician Sam Williams, son of Hank Jr., and grandson of the legendary Hank Williams.
“Where I come from, most people don’t get to go to the circus,” said Sam Williams.
“We go to county fairs and carnivals, and the carnival in a small town is filled with joy, excitement, mystery, euphoria, you name it. That feeling is one you always remember, and I think the roller coaster of emotions lines up with what you want to feel seeing such an incredibly beautiful production such as Cirque’s.”
In addition to the incredible pageantry, jaw-dropping aerial arts, and mind-bending acrobatics for which Cirque du Soleil is known, the show will honor the trailblazers and modern maestros in country music with live, soul-stirring performances.
