The most wonderful time of the year is here. Amid the glimmering holiday lights, festive Christmas pop-ups, and other extraordinary events in the city this time of the year, Dallas hosts an elaborate holiday parade that’s set to return this December.
Started in 1988 by The Adolphus Children’s Medical Center Dallas, since then the Dallas Holiday Parade would become the largest, one-day events in the city. On Saturday, December 7, beloved holiday tradition is set to make its return to Dallas downtown streets.

Commencing at 9 am, the 36th annual Dallas Holiday Parade will begin its two-hour jaunt at Commerce and Houston streets with vendors, elaborate floats, dancers, performers, costume characters, celebrities, and holiday festivities.
The parade will also host feature exciting network of vendors and food trucks at Main Street Gardens and Civic Gardens running from 7 am to 3 pm..

As for getting there, organizers suggest taking DART downtown to avoid street closures, traffic, and parking fees. Organizers also encourage attendants to show up early in order to guarantee seating.
Entry to the Dallas Holiday Parade is free, however, visitors can enjoy the parade in leisure with bleacher access. Ticket prices here range from $30 to $100 depending on bleacher seating. Visitors can also choose to experience the parade through the DHP Premier Club ($125). Located in the TV Zone, ticket holders can enjoy a breakfast buffet, hot chocolate bar, Santa’s swag bag, and meet-and-greet with the Clause couple, cookie decorating with the kids, and more.
