Dallas Symphony Orchestra has announced dates for five free outdoor family-friendly concerts for its annual Symphony in the Parks extravaganza.
The first park concert will take place at Flag Pole Hill on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29 with the annual concert starting at 8:15 pm and fireworks lighting up the skies after the concert has finished.
The following concerts will take place at different locations in June: Exall Park, Campbell Green Park, Kidd Springs Park, and Paul Quinn College.
“Celebrate the start of summer with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra! The beloved tradition kicks off the season with Memorial Day fireworks. Enjoy patriotic music and American classics at these free outdoor concerts” reads the Dallas Symphony Orchestra website.
Assistant Conductor Maurice Cohn will conduct all five outdoor park concerts running May 29th through June 13.
The full list of free outdoor concerts is as follows:
- May 29 at Flag Pole Hill Flag Pole Hill at 8:15 pm.
- June 1 at Exall Park near downtown Dallas at 8:15 pm.
- June 6 at Campbell Green Park in Far North Dallas at 8:15 pm.
- June 8 at Kidd Springs Park in Oak Cliff at 8:15 pm.
- June 13 at Paul Quinn College at 8:15 pm.
According to the website the 2023 Dallas Symphony Orchestra Parks Concerts are sponsored by Methodist Dallas Medical Center and are supported in part by the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture.
