Dallas Zoo, the oldest and largest zoo in Texas, has announced the return of its annual Dollar Days ticket specials. The incredibly popular discounted days will occur on Thursday, July 13, and Tuesday, August 8.
Tickets for the two dates are now on sale and are already being snapped up by excited guests.
“These are always some of our most exciting – and busiest! – days of the year. We love Dollar Days because they’re our way of giving back, making the Zoo accessible for all, and saying “thank you” to an amazing community that supports us year-round” reads a statement on the zoo’s website.
In addition to the cheap admission, snack shops across the 106-acre zoo will be selling popcorn and cotton candy for $1 on the Dollar Days dates as well as $2 frozen treats and chips and $3 sodas.
Opening hours have also been adjusted and the zoo will open at 8:30 am on both Dollar Days. Parking as ever is free for members and $10 for non-members.
Now home to more than 2,000 animals and over 400 species, Dallas Zoo was founded in 1888 as the first zoo in the Southwest.
It is located three miles south of downtown Dallas at 650 S. R. L. Thornton Freeway.
