From local Dallas content creator known simply as “Dave”, Dave’s Pizza Oven has amassed a massive following of over 600,000 followers through his approachable videos on the art of pizza-making. This weekend, Dave’s Pizza Oven will host a special, one-day-only pop-up at Lucky Dog Saloon in Dallas where visitors, fans, and/or foodies can feast their eyes and mouths.
What’s “just a guy making pizza at home” has become a phenomenon across the likes of Tiktok, Instagram, and Youtube. Over the years Dave’s Pizza Oven has blown up through his accessible approach to making pizza from scratch. His videos showcase his fermentation tutorials, dough techniques, and tavern-style pizza recipes have endeared the masses. It doesn’t hurt that he’s a handsome man.
The Dave’s Pizza Oven pop-up takes place at Lucky Dog Saloon on Sunday, March 8. starting at 11:30 am, the event will feature four seatings throughout the event timed at 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 1:30 pm, and 2:30 pm. Tickets are priced at $12 per person and include 2 slices of New York and Detroit-style pizza in either cheese or pepperoni.
Lucky Dog Saloon will also have an available menu of wine, draft, beer, and pre-batched cocktails sold separately. Availability is limited, so be sure to show up early! As the pop-up takes place in a bar, the event is 21 and up.
A part of the Katy Trail Ice House family, Lucky Dog Saloon is a Chicago-style tavern at 2701 Cedar Springs Rd., Dallas, TX 75201. The saloon itself is known for its Detroit-style pizzas, as well as its impressive beverage menu featuring the lights of high-end whiskeys and signature cocktails.
Its regular operating hours are as such: 3 pm – 2 am Monday through Friday and from 11 am – 2 am Saturday and Sunday.
