Recognized as the world’s only independent authority on luxury ratings for hotels, restaurants, spas, and ocean cruises, FTG marks its 67th year by honoring more than 2,100 top-tier establishments across 90 countries. Among this year’s distinguished winners are multiple Dallas hotels, restaurants, and spas.

Forbes Travel Guide is an independent international rating system that assesses luxury restaurants, hotels, cruise ships, and spas. The organization does not take commission, fees, or business relationships to assess its properties.
Its team of around 900 trained inspectors visit venues across the world under anonymity. Per its website, the Forbes Travel Guide Star Rating its considered the most prestigious achievement in the hospitality industry.
How does Forbes Travel Guide assess properties?
Forbes Travel Guide states that its team of trained inspectors considers up to 900 criteria when evaluating properties. Generally speaking, however, the institution’s inspectors rate properties based on levels of service, including in areas of staff knowledge, efficiency, cleanliness, guest comfort, and sense of luxury.
For those properties that have been awarded stars or recommendations, inspectors are sent to review them the following year in order for the businesses to retain their accolades.
The Forbes Travel Guide award system is distinguished in three categories:
- Five Star: Reserved for properties that deliver exceptional, personalized service with unwavering consistency.
- Four Star: Recognized for offering high-quality accommodations and distinguished service.
- Recommended: Acknowledged for their consistently excellent facilities and guest experience.
What are the Forbes 2025 Star Awards Dallas winners?
The 2025 Star Awards features multiple Dallas hotels, restaurants, and spas. Notably, the Ritz-Carlton retained its Five Star rating for its sixth year. The Ritz Carlton Spa received a Four Star rating. Furthermore, FTG awarded The Joule and The Spa at The Joule with Four Star ratings, along with Fearing’s Restaurant and The Mansion Restaurant.
FTG also distinguished with Recommended ratings to Ritz-Carlton Las Colinas, HALL Arts hotel Dallas, Curio Collection by Hilton, and Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek.
