Whether you can’t wait for the Dallas Holiday Parade this weekend, or you simply can’t get enough holiday parades in your life this Yuletide season, head over to Grapevine, Texas this week. Honored with the title of “The Official Christmas Capital of Texas“, Grapevine is a place where holiday spirit courses through its veins – and streets.
This week, the city will host its 46th annual Parade of Lights, where over 100 decorated floats will parade through its Historic Main Street.
The Grapevine 46th Annual Parade of Lights kicks off at 7 pm on Thursday, December 4. This year, the parade will feature a special “Storybook” theme, lending even more fairytale vibes to the festive experience. Here, visitors can expect a festive atmosphere with over a hundred floats, marching bands, and one special appearance by Santa Clause.

The parade will commence at S. Main Street and Hanover St. From there, the parade will go traverse Dallas Rd., moving through the city’s Historic Main Street, before concluding at the intersection of Northwest Highway and St. Main St.

Whether or not you’re able to catch the parade, a visit to Grapevine is simply a must-do this holiday season. In addition to a fantastic array of performances, live entertainment, and festive screenings throughout the month, the area is also home to epic holiday destinations.
The epicenter, is The Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center, which features its critically-acclaimed ICE! experience with over 2 million pounds of ice, as well as a Christmas Village, and Gingerbead Decorating Center, among many other experiences.

Furthermore, Grapevine is also home to the “Rockefeller Center of the South”. Peace Plaza Ice Rink in front of Grapevine Main Station offers an enchanting ice skating experience amidst twinkling lights and all-around merriment.
