For a limited time, you are invited to a Halloween soirée at the historic Alexander Mansion at 4607 Ross Ave. House of Spirits: Volkov Manor is a two-hour immersive cocktail experience with a disquieting and interactive storyline that promises to leave guests delightfully chilled — it ends on October 31 but tickets are still available!
The evening will take place at Old East Dallas’s Alexander Mansion, a sweeping 12,500-square-foot estate built in 1904. Step back in time to an enchanted mystical party, where guests unknowingly partake in a strange ritual that brings the home’s mysteries to life…
This new season tells the tale of Doctor Grigor Volkov, an eminent psychiatrist and hypnotist. When his recently orphaned nieces and nephews arrive to live with him at Volkov Manor, things take a chilling turn. The spirits of their Uncle’s former patients attempt to make contact with the children, not to scare them–but to warn them of the malicious entity known as The Midnight Man.
Inspired by the final days of “holy-man” Grigori Rasputin and the ancient god Veles, House of Spirits weaves a disturbing and original story with fascinating riffs on classic Slavic folktales.
You’ll have the chance to mingle with strange specters, witness secret ceremonies, invoke spirits on a giant Ouija Board, and enjoy themed cocktails, magic, music and more! You can move about the Alexander Mansion at your leisure, enjoying the live shows and roaming entertainment while digging deeper to uncover the clues, riddles and secrets hidden about the property at 4607 Ross Ave. It’s one sinister, curiosity-filled occasion you don’t want to miss.
The event includes a flight of Miniature Craft Cocktails, each inspired by a dearly departed spirit. Specially curated into a “tasting menu,” they feature a variety of unique flavor profiles unlike anything you’ve ever had before. There is also an option to pair your craft cocktail flight with decadent French chocolate truffles, which have been curated by chocolate “sommeliers”!
Additional cocktails, beer, wine and food items will be available for purchase at the event. Guests are also encouraged to dress up for the evening, be it in costume, cocktail attire, or your favorite time-period clothing! All time periods will fit in at the House of Spirits, as the specters who roam the halls have been around throughout countless centuries.
