The holidays are coming down the chimney, Dallas! Among our favorite yearly holiday experiences in the city, from the over-the-top Christmas pop-ups, to charming rooftop yuletide festivities, we look forward to the unparalleled wonder put on by Gaylord Texan.
This year, Dallasites can experience a literal winter wonderland at the resort’s magnificent Ice: How The Grinch Stole Christmas experience now open to the public!
Meticulously carved from over two million pounds of ice, Ice: How the Grinch Stole Christmas, is an enchanting, 17,000-square-feet wonderland that allows visits to experience the classic Dr. Seuss tale like never before.

Inside this immersive fantasyland, visitors can glide down towering two-story slides made of ice, navigate ice tunnels and arches, and find yourself immersed in whimsical, multi-sensory moments with cherished characters such as the curmudgeonly but endearing Grinch, his faithful companion Max, Cindy-Lou, and the festive residents of Who-ville!
ICE! was the work of more than 40 globally acclaimed master artisans who dedicated over six weeks to masterfully hand-carve approximately 6,000 blocks of ice, each weighed at 300 pounds, bringing to life this unmissable 17,000-square-foot frozen marvel.
Tickets to ICE! are now on sale. Prices vary depending on the date and time of entry, ranging from $20 to $37 for children (4-11), and from $29 to $46 for adults. Children aged three and under are allowed in for free with a paid adult admission. Strollers are not permitted in the exhibit or line.

There is no time limit for the experience. The walk-through exhibit is timed to be about 15-30 minutes, but could last as long as 75 minutes. As you might expect, the ICE! experience is chilly – kept at about 9 degrees. Parkas are however provided to all guests.
