Ida Claire may or may not be the coziest place in town to eat avocado toast.
Back in the heyday of childhood there was no sanctuary like a blanket fort. If the sheer mention of such fortress of youth was enough to trigger a nostalgic revery, you’ll be happy to know that you can enliven your whimsical childhood memories at Ida Claire bistro in Addison, where the indoor and outdoor eatery is fixed with a trailer adorned top to bottom in warm and fuzzy fabrics. Culinary-wise, customers can drop by Ida’s for brunch, lunch, or supper. Their menu is comprised of shared plates, sandwiches, salads, sides, and desserts. Notable dishes include their Duck Nachos, Crawfish Corn Beignets, Chicken & Waffles, and Red Velvet Pancakes. As for the libations, Ida Claire servers drinks that will both cause and cure hangovers. Favorites include the Ida’s G&T made with Drumshanbo Irish Gunpowder Gin, Fever Tree Tonic, Fever Tree Soda, and Lavender Bitters; The Demagorgon, made with mezcal, pineapple, lime, bergamot bitters, agave, and sparkling water; and the Fire in the Sky Margarita with Monte Alban blanco tequila, paprika simple syrup, Combier orange, red bell pepper, and lemon juice. Frozen and shareable cocktails, draft beer, white and red wines, and tall boys are also available.
Vinyl Hour is held from 3 – 6 pm, and 9 – 11 pm Monday through Friday features select $5 cocktails, wines, bar bites, and $3 draft beers.
