The JW Marriott Dallas Arts District has reintroduced its signature restaurant, but this time under a new banner: JW Steakhouse. Perched on the 11th floor of the hotel, the JW Steakhouse is an elevated restaurant complete with a rooftop garden, zero-waste kitchen, and global pantry.
Located at 800 N Harwood St, JW Marriot is a 237-room, luxury hotel in Dallas Arts District. Among its featured amenities include a rooftop pool, open-air rooftop bar, and 20,000-square-foot event space. The hotel has recently revamped its signature, 11th-floor restaurant as the new JW Steakhouse.

Overlooking the Dallas skyline, the 137-seat JW Steakhouse is described as a garden-focused Texas steakhouse. Here, patrons can enjoy such steakhouse classics as the 32-z porterhouse, bone-in short rib, and 16-oz ribeye.
Additionally, the steakhouse bears Hispanic and East Asian influences – reflecting its culinary team’s personal backgrounds. Such dishes include the cherry mole, miso-marinated sea bass, and barbecue-based, umami-rich mushroom meatloaf.
“Dallas knows steak,” said Executive Chef Miguel Antonio. “But we saw room to evolve the genre. Big cuts, yes—but brushed with garden herbs and butter, paired with artisanal salt flights, finished with garnishes harvested on-site. We wanted to bring a sense of balance to the plate, and to reflect how Dallas is eating today.”

The JW Steakhouse features a zero-waste kitchen. As a part of a larger effort to reduce waste, the restaurant participates in full use of ingredients, using carrot peals, dried, to create seasoning patter and putting trimmed fat into tallow. This past year, the restaurant composted over 7,000 pounds.
JW Steakhouse is now open at JW Marriott. The restaurant is open for breakfast (Monday through Friday, 6:30 am – 11 am), lunch (daily 11 am – 2 pm), dinner (5:30 pm – 10 pm), and weekend brunch (7 am – 2 pm).
