Music superstar Lionel Richie is coming to Dallas this year to perform with nine-time Grammy award-winning Earth, Wind & Fire as well as some other surprise guests.
Taking over the American Airlines Center on the first day of September, the legendary singer-songwriter is stopping in the Big D as part of his “Sing A Song All Night Long” tour which is traveling 20 different cities across the United States and Canada.
Beginning in Minnesota on August 4, Richie will perform all across the country before coming to Texas on August 29 for a show in Austin’s Moody Center followed by shows in Dallas on Friday, September 1, and Houston’s Toyota Center the next day on September 2nd.
The tour will then stop in 5 other cities Denver, San Francisco, Seattle, and Vancouver before it finishes in Los Angeles on Friday, September 15th.
With four Grammy Awards, numerous nominations, and 125+ million album sales to date, Lionel Richie was last year inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame while also winning the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song by the Library Congress and the Icon Award at the American Music Awards in 2022.
In addition to all of the awards earned over his glittering career, Richie has more recently cultivated a new generation of fans as a judge on American Idol.
Not too far behind with over 100 million albums sold worldwide and also a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Earth, Wind & Fire are an extra special guest on the tour who have themselves earnt a reputation as one of the most successful bands of all time.
