Madonna yesterday announced a career-spanning, 35-city tour of North America, the UK, and Europe that will celebrate the best-selling female solo artist of all time’s four decades of music.
Marking the 40th anniversary of her breakout single, Holiday, she will perform her greatest hits from her 1983’s self-titled debut album through to 2019’s Madame X all across the country stopping at our very own American Airlines Center on September 18th!
Her 12th-ever world tour, “Madonna: The Celebration Tour” as it is named was announced in a video uploaded to Youtube and Instagram on January 17th.
Featuring the likes of Amy Schumer, Jack Black, Lil Wayne, Judd Apatow, Diplo, Kate Berlant, Larry Owens, Meg Stalter, and Eric Andre the video shows the group playing truth or dare before it culminates with Schumer daring Madonna to do a world tour and perform her greatest hits.
Caldwell Tidicue aka Bob the Drag Queen, who also featured in the video, will join her on the world tour as a special guest.
Kicking off the tour in Vancouver on Saturday, July 15, Madonna will perform 25 times across the country stopping at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on Monday, September 18, before wrapping up her North American spree at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on October 7th.
She’ll then continue the tour in London on October 14 performing all over Europe until finishing in Amsterdam on December 1st.
The tour will reportedly offer “a one-of-a-kind experience” with the queen of pop performing some of her greatest songs from across all four decades like ‘Like A Virgin’ ‘Material Girl’ and other of her chart-topping hits.
“I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for,” she said shared in a statement.
Tickets go on sale this coming Friday, January 20th at 10 am local time at madonna.com/tour.
