Main Street’s subterranean cocktail lounge inside The Joule is set to reopen tomorrow night!
After a brief hiatus, the Midnight Rambler bar and DJ-spinning speakeasy is reopening this Friday with a new menu courted by cocktails from award-winning bartender, Gabe Sanchez. [Featured image: @midnightramblerbar]
Set in the basement of The Joule hotel, the Midnight Rambler is a sultry speakeasy bar and lounge with a rock n’ roll flair. If when visiting, things appear eerily similar that may be because the bar was in part modeled on that featured in Stanley Kubrick’s horror masterpiece, The Shining.
Its lounge area takes its inspiration from another director, David Lynch’s, Parisian nightclub, Silencio – which was modeled after the club featured in his film, Mulholland Drive.
Once descended down a flight of steps, guests enter the golden sanctuary fit with sleek furnishings, velvet curtains, art installations, and an impressive vinyl shelf.
The bar has let it be known that it is not named after the Rolling Stone’s song, but music still plays an essential, albeit subtle, role in the speakeasy experience.
As for their recent closure, the bar announced on their socials that it was working on revamping its menu. As of this moment, there has been no word of what exactly it will entail. The only indicator of its options is that of a recommendation on its reservation page, in which it encourages guests to try their “pineapple drink”. That said, the lounge’s cocktail menu is curated by award-winning bartender Gabe Sanchez, so you can rest assured that the libations will be top notch.
Midnight Rambler reopens Friday, March 26 at 5 pm. Make your reservation now!
