Halloween season is here, Dallas! If you’re looking to get a little more wear out of your Halloween costume this year, mark your calendars for October 24, when Rest in Peace Plano Fest returns!
Spooky (But Not Too Spooky) Attractions
The festival stretches across the downtown arts district and the Haggard Parking Lot, creating a spirited, family-friendly scene. Expect carnival rides, trick-or-treating, and a steady stream of roaming characters and circus performers.
Word on the street is there will also be fire dancers and a blackout maze to explore. Definitely wear your costume—witches, ghouls, and superheroes are all encouraged, and there will be plenty of photo ops set up to capture the night.

Bites, Brews, and Themed Cocktails
While admission to the festival is entirely free, you’ll want to bring along some cash just in case. Keep an eye out for themed cocktails and mocktails reportedly being mixed up at local spots like the Fillmore Pub. It’s also worth noting that while entry is free, organizers haven’t officially stated if every single carnival ride or attraction requires an extra ticket, so it’s smart to have a little extra cash on hand just in case.
