Texas Monthly’s 25th edition of the best new restaurants in Texas is here. Comprised of 10 restaurants that have opened from November 2024 to November 2025, the list features concepts in Dallas, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. This year, Dallas put on quite a show with three concepts. Continue below to see which new Dallas restaurants made Texas Monthly’s Best New Restaurants in Texas.
Rainbowcat
Don’t let the whimsical, perhaps even childish dish names fool you, the food at Rainbowcat is no joke. Described by TM as “junk food from a world-class chef”, Misti Norris’ Rainbowcat serves up elegantly-amplified versions of the likes of chicken nuggets, corndogs, and bowls of cereal. — the latter a homemade version of Cinnamon Toast Crunch made with sour apple salted caramel and whipped milk.
Mamani
One of just two Dallas restaurants with a Michelin Star, Mamani is an upscale french restaurant from Chef Cristophe De Lellis. Its elegant interior is a nice fit for Dallasites, but the food is the true star of the show. While dishes here do cost a pretty penny, investors will be rewarded with exquisite tastes. Signature dishes include the whole duck prepared “the Mamani way”, veal Cordon Bleu, and wild dover sole.
Sushi Kozy
Opened in June of 2025, Sushi Kozy is an elegant, omakase-only restaurant in Dallas Arts District. Head by chef Paul Ko — previously the head sushi chef at Uchi Dallas — the restaurant has already received Michelin Recommended status for its traditional, kaiseki-style dining experience. If you want the best seat in the house, grab a spot at its cypress wood counter and watch the chefs do their thing.
