Get your holiday festivities on track.
In the spirit of expressing gratitude this holiday season, we are grateful for the crazy amount of cheerful light spectacles in the DFW area. Much like Christmas cookies, you can never have too many holiday lights. The latest light spectacle to hit the DFW scene is the Texas Motor Speedway’s Gift of Lights.
From now until January 2, DFW residents can hits the tracks of the Texas Motor Speedway and cruise through millions of sparkling lights for their annual Gift of Lights spectacle.
The night-light ride is open rain-or-shine from 6 pm – 10 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 6 pm – 9 pm Sunday through Thursday. Each light cruise lasts from 45 minutes to an hour. Tickets are priced per car and start at $30. Prices go up depending on vehicle type, i.e. trucks/trailers, RVs, and buses cost from $50 to $60. Notice: tickets are not refundable.
Gift of Lights is featuring a number of special events on select nights, including Food Truck Friday and Saturdays, Bring Your Pet Day (December 7), and Crazy Christmas Sweater Day (December 8).
In order to maintain visitor safety, visitors must remain in their vehicles throughout the duration of the experience. Visitors will not be permitted to experience the spectacle from a truck bed or open trailer. No motorcycles are permitted.
Speaking of lights, the Texas Motor Speedway will also be hosting a drive-in rendition of Lights All Nights on January 9 with a performance from deadmau5.
