One of the last remaining action movie stars, Tom Cruise, is set to appear in Dallas for the premier of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. While in town, Cruise has stated that he plans to dine on some Dallas barbecue. Here’s what we know about Cruise’s visit to Dallas.
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning will be the final installment of the blockbuster action series. Early Thursday morning, Tom Cruise posted on Instagram that he would be visiting Texas for the film’s rollout.
“On May 22nd, I’m coming to the great state of Texas,” Cruise announced in an Instagram video, “and I’ll be visiting Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio before stopping by some theaters to see you at some of the first screenings of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. Then we’re going to fly to Dallas, where I’m going to get some delicious barbecue before going to more theatres to say ‘hello’, and I can’t wait.”
Cruise will first visit San Antonio, followed by a stop in Fort Worth, then will eventually make his way to Dallas. In Dallas, Cruise plans to surprise Dallas moviegoers at screenings of his new movie. When and which theaters will be the surprise.
Due to the nature of the film – a high-budget blockbuster – we suspect that Cruise will likely visit Dallas’ IMAX experiences: Cinemark Dallas XD and IMAX between theoretically, May 22 and May 24.
Per the announcement, Cruise also stated his plans to enjoy barbecue while in Dallas. If we know Tom Cruise like we think we know Tom Cruise, he’ll want the best of the best. Frontrunners in this category include the Pecan Lodge, Terry Black’s, and OAK’s BBQ.
