
Beat the heat this summer with a day at the waterpark! Just in time for summer heat, Wet Zone Waterpark in Rowlett is reopening to the public this June with enhanced facilities, new amenities, and more summer-ready fun.
The waterpark has been closed for around a year to undergo renovations. This Saturday, June 14, the waterpark is set to debut its new-and-improved facilities with a grand-reopening.

Over the course of the year, the waterpark has undergone extensive renovations including the following:
- Completely resurfaced pool with new plaster, updated waterline tile, and clearly marked depth indicators
- Modernized mechanical systems including high-efficiency pumps and advanced chemical management
- Installed an ADA-accessible pool lift to ensure inclusive access for all visitors
- Revamped play areas with two upgraded structures featuring the Orb water wheel, dynamic slides, and exciting spray elements
- Brand-new 3,900-square-foot splash pad with inclusive, hands-on water play features and a dedicated filtration system for optimal cleanliness
- Enhanced guest comfort with revitalized shaded seating areas, stylish new picnic tables, and upgraded private cabanas
“Wet Zone is more than just a waterpark, it’s where memories are made and where our community comes together every summer,” says Mayor Jeff Winget in a press release. “This investment reflects our commitment to quality-of-life improvements for Rowlett families. I’m proud of our staff and crews who worked tirelessly to bring this project to life.”

Wet Zone Waterpark is a community family waterpark that includes waterslides, a lazy river, and a 25-foot lap pool. The waterpark is also known for their local favorite “Flick & Float” movie nights, which are set to return this June.
Wet Zone is one of the most affordable waterparks in the DFW area, with prices starting at $12 for non-residents, $10 for residents. Season passes are also available for $60 for non-residents, $50 for residents. Prices vary based on height and age.
Wet Zone Waterpark will be celebrating its grand-reopening this Saturday, June 14, beginning with a ribbon cutting ceremony at noon. The waterpark is located at 400 Main Street, Rowlett, TX 75088.
