When does fall start in Texas?
As with the rest of the United States, fall in Texas begins on September 22, 2024. As much of us know, however, that’s not when it feels like fall. As to when it begins to feel like fall in Texas, depends on the area of Texas.
West Texas typically experiences the earliest peak in fall foliage, with vibrant fall colors emerging in mid-to-late October and cooler temperatures. East Texas, on the other hand, doesn’t experience those fall elements like until early-to-mid November.
Central Texas including the likes of Austin and Texas Hill Country towns, is expected to experience fall-like conditions in late October to early November. Here, temperatures usually range in the 70-80 degree area with crops of fall foliage emerging.
When is fall in Dallas?
As for Dallas, which falls in the North Texas region, fall foliage is predicted emerge by the end of October but won’t peak until around mid-to-late November. Average temperatures in October range from 56 to 79 degrees.
To note, the Farmer’s Almanac predicts that this fall in Texas will be warmer than normal with less rain, so you might not have has much need for scarves this year.
