Austin transplant, Wonder Bar, has opened up a colorful concept bar here in Dallas.
iPhones at the ready, Dallas, for a new selfie sanctuary has come to town with the opening of Austin-based Wonder Bar!
Quoting their Facebook, Wonder Bar is “an interactive and imaginative bar that will feature unique installations.” Dressed up and down with photo-ops, Wonder Bar in Dallas features a variety of whimsical installations, but with the added bonus of snapping selfies over rounds of sweet colorful cocktails.
While the bar decorations are rotational, past and present have included a room of disco balls, massive interactive Price is Right wheel, cloud swing, and a wall of eggplant emojis.
Wonder Bar cocktails are priced at $12 a piece. Options include names such as Disco Bull – made with Bacardi Dragonberry, Redbull Tropical, watermelon, and lime; Two In The Pink – consisting of Bombay Gin, Deep Eddy Ruby Red, Waterloo Grapefuit Soda, lime, and ginger beer; and Wonder Water – Patrón Silver, Patrón Citrónge Pineapple, Topo Chico, lime, pineapple. Equally noteworthy is the packaging of their drinks, which vary from actual disco balls, to tequila bottles and soda cans.
Food-wise, Wonder Bar serves a variety of dishes. Appetizers, under “Shareables” on the menu, include Chips & Queso, Quac Is Extra, Buffalo Wings, Fried Pickles, and Mini Corn Dogs. Personal dishes, called “Selfies” on the menu, include tacos, a cheeseburger, and a chicken sandwich.
Wonder Bar is open at 2107 N Henderson Avefrom 5 pm to 2 am Monday through Friday, and from 11 am to 2 am on Saturdays and Sundays.
