Activate Games, an indoor, interactive gaming experience, has opened a new location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area offering an exciting new futuristic form of entertainment and competition.
Fusing technology and physical activity, the Winnipeg-based company has a wide range of high-tech, real-life games. Hundreds of combinations of live-action challenges have been designed to test physical and mental agility pitting teams against each other in one to three-minute face-offs.
Those interested in a casual night out or a fierce competition against friends can now head down to Plano for a live-action gaming experience like no other.
Having just opened a Chicago location, Activate Games’ Plano facility is its first Texas location and offers over 500 different experiences including shooting games and action movie-inspired laser games.
There are a variety of gaming rooms including Megagrid, Hoops, Push, Hide, Laser, Trench, Pipes, Climb, and much more to ensure that different skill sets are put to the test.
With so many adrenaline activities you can expect competition to heat up which is why Activate Games use an electronic wristband to track team scores.
The RFID wristband tracks each participant’s scores as they progress throughout making it both reliable and convenient.
“Activate allows guests to have fun with their closest friends and family while working as a team,” owner Bryce Anderson says via media release. “We’re thrilled to be joining the Dallas and Plano communities, and we’re hoping to become a staple place where friends and family can gather to enjoy a unique experience that can’t be found anywhere else.”
Founded in 2019, Activate Games began with multiple locations in Canada and now has further locations in the US in Gatlinburg in Tennessee, Chicago in Illinois, Louisville in Kentucky, and Lexington in Kentucky.
Activate Games will soon open in East Rutherford, New Jersey followed by locations in Alabama’s Birmingham and a Houston location set to open later this year.
The exciting new hi-tech interactive gaming experience can be found at 5013 West Plano Parkway and is open from 10 am to 10 pm, Sunday – Thursday, and 10 am to 11 pm, Friday – Saturday.
Sessions last for 75 minutes and cost $24.99 per person. Walk-ins are welcome upon availability but to ensure entry booking a spot online is advised.
