We can never get enough Mexican restaurants. And in all shades, colors, and sizes. Whether it’s a no-frills taco truck, a Michelin recommended dining destination, or a Prix Versailles “world’s most beautiful restaurant” winner – we’re here for it all. This fall/winter, a stunning new restaurant is set to debut in Downtown Fort Worth: Beverly’s.
Beverly’s is a concept from Jason Cross and Jeff Payne, the duo behind Cousin’s BBQ as well as the highly anticipated upcoming restaurant, The Mont. For Beverly’s, the two have partnered with Steve Maddux and Jeff Morgan, who own the historic Hogan Building.

Beverly’s will be located in the basement of the Hogan Building. Located near Sundance Square, the Hogan Building was originally built in 1900 before undergoing an Art Deco redesign in 1937.
“We’re not trying to replicate the traditional Mexican restaurant experience,” said Jeff Payne, co-owner of Beverly‘s Downtown in a press release.
“Instead, we’re moving the needle forward while respecting the roots of the cuisine—creating something unique, sexy, familiar, and entirely new.”

The restaurant will serve lunch and dinner. With an innovative approach to traditional dishes, the restaurant will run the gamut of geographical Mexican cuisine with coastal influences of the Gulf to flavorful meat dishes of the North. Instead of rolls, the venue’s bread service will consist of heirloom flour and corn-based tortillas presented with pickled-onion-mixed cultured butter.
The owners tapped renowned Fort Worth interior design firm, Maven, for the new restaurant. Evoking speakeasy vibes, the atmospheric 7,000-square-foot space will provide an intimate space adorned with rustic textures and moody lighting.
Owners plan to debut Beverly’s at the Hogan Building located at 901 Houston St, Fort Worth, TX 76102 as early as this fall.
