So-called “America’s oldest waterpark” – which probably isn’t true – Burgers Lake in Fort Worth is nevertheless an amazing DFW swimming hole populated with slides, diving boards, beaches, and more!
Burgers Lake is a natural swimming hole that’s long been a summer destination for DFW residents – now 96 years running. The 20-foot-deep lake is nestled in a 30-acre park on the fringe of Fort Worth. Here, summer lovers can delight in a wonderful array of sandy beaches, diving boards, slides, as well as a 25-foot-high trapeze.

Other lake attractions include volleyball courts, bounce balloons, and a kids splash pad.
Burgers Lake also features an on-site and delightfully affordable kitchen/concession stand. Typical of the season, the venue dishes out a delicious assortment of American staples and nostalgic favorites including hot dogs, hamburgers, frito pies, corn docks, fried pickles, and onion rings.
On the sweet side, customers can choose from candies, ice creams – Blue Bell and Dippin’ Dots included – and snow cones.
Couple things to consider before you go: pets are not allowed in the park – neither is alcohol. Food, coolers, grills, lawn chairs, and the like, however, are accepted. The lake is also available for birthdays, corporate events, and other event bookings. Burgers Lake does not close in the event of rain.

Admission to the park is priced at $20 per person. Season passes are available for $200, which include unlimited trips. Group rates (for 100 or more) are also available. Family swim tickets – including 50 park trips at half rate – are available for $500.
