Listen up, cool girls: fine jewelry brand, Catbird, has announced its first-ever Texas location opening in Dallas this November.
Not to be confused with the rooftop and lounge at Thompson, Catbird is a jewelry brand begun in Brooklyn circa 2004. The influential, direct-to-consumer jewelry brand is famous for its 14k gold pieces, signature, “Forever Bracelets”, and “cool girl” aesthetic.
Through word-of-mouth, organic adoption, and formal collaborations, Catbird has been recognized by numerous celebrities – oft from the music, film, and art world. Official collaborators with Catbird have included the likes of Taylor Swift, Phoebe Bridgers, Sofia Coppola, Clairo, Laufey, and more.
Founded in 2004 by Rony Vardi, Catbird began in a tiny, 225-square-foot shop in Brooklyn. Presently, Catbird has 11 brick-and-mortar stores across 8 states in the U.S., including New York, California, Massachusetts, Washington, D.C., Illinois, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Washington. The jeweler is often cited as one of the first to sell extensively online.
The jewelry brand has announced Dallas as the site of its first-ever location in Texas. According to reports, the brand plans to open its Dallas location in Knox-Henderson in November of this year.
Here, visitors can expect Catbird’s 14k gold jewelry collection – encompassing rings, earrings, necklaces, engagement rings, and the like.
The brand is also known for its interactive, in-store experiences; such experiences include custom charm jewelry, ear piercing, personalized wedding ring appointments, as well as its Forever Bracelet – a permanent piece of jewelry that is welded in store.
According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Catbird will occupy a 993-square-foot space at 2166 North Henderson Avenue, Suite B100. According to the filing, the venue is estimated at a cost of $300,000 with an expected completion date by September 1.
