Now with summer coming to a close, it’s time to get excited for fall fun. While the weather it’s still a ways away, some of our favorite fall events are slated to make their return this September. Included is Six Flags Over Texas’ frightfully fun, Fright Fest: a terrific transformation of the Arlington theme park complete with macabre mazes, scare zones, live entertainment and more.
Fright Fest comes back to life on September 12. Running through November 2, the annual event turns Six Flags Over Texas into a weird wonderland of haunted houses, scare zones, horror-movie-inspired mazes, freakish characters, and more.

Here’s what to expect at Fright Fest 2025 in Arlington:
Six haunted mazes, individually themed after contemporary and classic horror movies including The Conjuring, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Strangers and Saw as well as a couple others. The haunted mazes each open at 6 pm throughout the theme park.
Five scare zones, themed horror areas populated with everything from masked plague doctors and twisted clowns, maudlin outlaws, and scarecrows.
Six Flags Over Texas will also host the new Toxicity live entertainment area. Here, the park will host circus-style entertainment with daring acrobatics, contortionist acts, and more.
For the kiddos, the park will also host daytime activities for families including the trick-or-treat trail, costume contests, The Spectral Sister jazz group, and Skelebration Dance Parties.

The park does make a point to state that Fright Fest is a scare-heavy event that is not recommended for kids under the age of 13.
Fright Fest at Six Flags Over Texas takes place from September 12 and November 2. Tickets for the event are now on sale starting at $30 for the Haunted Attractions Pass. Park Admission and Haunted Attractions Passes start at $75.
