Before Michelin expanded to Texas, it was Keith Lee who revealed the mastery of the Texas culinary food scene. In October 2023, Keith Lee visited a number of local eateries and later early this year made a food tour in North Texas hailing restaurants such as Terry Blacks Barbecue, Thunderbird Pies, Brunchaholics, Hutchins BBQ, Absolutely Edible Cakes, and Halal Fuzionz.
Seemingly, it appears that the food in Texas was enough to convince Lee to move from his home in Las Vegas to Texas – where exactly, however, he has not said.
True to form, Keith Lee made the announcement on TikTok, where Lee has nearly 17 million followers and has accumulated around 780 million likes.
“The cat is out of the bag,” Lee stated. “We were trying to keep it a secret but it ain’t a secret no more.”
Lee went on to discuss his journey and time spent in Las Vegas where he met his now wife, started a family, and launched his career doing food reviews.
“Not only have those food reviews a pivotal role in me and my family’s life but over 150 different families’ lives across the nation in less than a year’s time.”
Lee explained why he hadn’t been as active online over the past few months due to life circumstances including moving, birthdays, and family matters. Lee also addressed a perceived unjust criticism that he’s received, claiming that the media landscape has overshadowed his deeds and blessings with minor negative things.
“It was more feeling like the positive things that we do gets quickly overshadowed by anything that people deem negative.… Instead of making articles that are focused on the fact that we blessing up to do what we do when it comes to restaurants, most tend to focus on the most miniscule and negative things when it comes to me and my family… So I took a break.”
Alas, Lee stated that he’s going to be “outside” this month and back at it with another planned food tour. More details expected to come soon.
