Theme parks are having a moment in North Texas. Following the opening of the exciting Peppa Pig theme park in North Richland Hills – ahead of the coming Universal Kids Resort coming to Frisco – Malibu Jack’s plans to open the state’s largest indoor theme park in North Texas this summer.
Founded in Lexington, Kentucky in 2013, Malibu Jack’s is an all-indoor theme park franchise with locations Ashland, Elizabethtown, Lafayette (IN), Louisville, Quad Cities (IA), and Springfield, Illinois.
The venues are known to house all your favorite nostalgic activites ranging from indoor go-karts to roller coasters and laser tag – that which the company will include in its Texas venue.
This summer, Malibu Jack’s plans to open its 137,000-square-foot indoor theme park in North Richland Hills outside of Dallas. The North Texas Malibu Jack’s will feature an expansive 30,000-square-foot indoor go-kart track, 12 lanes of duckpin bowling, two glow-in-the-dark, “under the sea”-themed mini-golf courses, arcade, pirate-themed Bounce Beach play area, and Texas-themed laser tag area.
Furthermore, Malibu Jack’s will house numerous rollercoaster and thrill rides, including the Jumpin’ Jacks Drop Tower, Cowabunga spinning roller coaster, and zero-gravity Whirlpool ride.
For us adults, the venue will also feature Jacks Social bar and Hang Ten Patio bar; the latter featuring a self-pour wall of 24 beers on tap.
“The opening of Malibu Jack’s in North Richland Hills is a big moment for Five Star Parks, and we’re beyond excited to welcome the community to our newest location this summer,” said CEO of Five Star Parks, John Dunlap.
“With so many incredible attractions to enjoy, we’re certain that it will quickly become the go-to spot for families seeking fun and adventure.”
Malibu Jack’s plans to open at 8651 Airport Freeway in North Richland Hills this summer. Stay tuned for more details!
