Following years of anticipation since its initial announcement in early 2023, Universal has officially opened its first theme park designed specifically for young children in the Dallas area. Universal Kids Resort welcomed its first guests on July 1, 2026, and is now operating with full daily hours in Frisco, Texas.
Along with the opening, Universal launched ticket sales, annual passes, vacation packages, and on‑site hotel reservations. The 20‑acre resort is positioned as a “kid‑sized” alternative to big regional parks, with shorter lines, compact walking distances, and attractions tailored to roughly ages 2–9.
“Located in the heart of Frisco, Texas, Universal Kids Resort brings UDX’s renowned theme park expertise to life in a whole new, playful way – inviting a new generation to embark on kid-sized Universal thrills made just for them”, Universal writes in a press statement.

The new 20-acre park, located across the Dallas North Tollway at the intersection of Panther Creek and Fields Parkways, is designed specifically for families and young children. Tickets are on sale starting at $54.99 per person for single-day admission. Children aged 2 and under are permitted free entrance.
Annual passes at Universal Kids Resort are also available starting at $129.99 for year-round access.
Visitors can now book rooms at the Universal Kids Resort Hotel. Options include Standard, Deluxe, and Signature Queen rooms – the latter fitting five guests – as well as Family Suites which can fit six.
Seven Immersive Themed Lands
The resort is built around seven distinct, kid‑scaled lands, each with rides, interactive play, shows, and character meet‑and‑greets based on Universal’s animation and family brands. The park’s layout intentionally keeps walking distances short and attractions manageable for younger attention spans.
