It’s summer season, Dallas. It’s time to make those trips to the beach, catch a few waves, and float down Texas’s best lazy rivers. While there are plenty to choose from, you can go big at Waco Surf action and water park, home to the world’s longest lazy river (allegedly).
Enjoy aquatic action at Waco Surf in Waco. Formerly known as the BSR Cable Park & Surf Resort, Waco Surf is an action park resort where adrenaline seekers can rip up waves on the wakeboarding cable park, two-acre surf lagoon, or towering water slide.
The park’s Wedge Slides measure at 80-feet high and feature a ramp at the bottom, launching slides into the air like a cannon ball.
If that’s not your speed, you can kick back in cabanas, a man-made beach – which features a nearby Surfside Shack for canned drinks and/or tacos – or inside of the venue’s various lodging options accommodating groups up to 16 people. Regarding the latter, visitors can set up shop at the Waco Surf Hotel, Waco Surf Houses, cabins, or the venue’s forested RV park.
Most famously, the surfside destination harbors the longest lazy river in the world. The clear-blue Texas lazy river spans 5,280 feet, giving visitors the chance to cruise down mile-long waters via inner tube.
Waco Surf provides tubes to visitors. Furthermore, tubers have the option of bringing coolers packed with their chosen provisions and/or beverages. The venue also features food and drink on-site. No glass, weapons, or charcoal grills are allowed. Children under 52” must wear life jackets.
The venue features a variety of Water Park passes (individual, family passes, kid passes, etc.). Prices vary depending on the desired activities.
Waco Surf is open daily through late December. The venue is located at 5347 Old Mexia Rd in Waco.
