The opening in Roanoke will be the first of many for the fried chicken franchise.
College Station fried chicken franchise, Layne’s Chicken Fingers, is preparing its takeover of the DFW area one restaurant at a time. This weekend, it will open its first outpost in Roanoke followed by as many as 30 more locations in the area. [Featured image: @layneschickenfingers]
Those who’ve spent a boozy weekend in College Station, or educational residency for that matter, are well acquainted with Layne’s. The “soon to be famous” chicken finger chain based has revitalized a university of college students with its savory chicken fingers, Texas toast, and secret sauce. Sound familiar? One of its original locations is, funnily enough, located directly across the street from Raising Cane’s.
With locations already in Frisco and Allen, Layne’s is opening its next DFW location this weekend in Roanoke. Its new outpost is a part of their 30-part franchise expansion in North Texas – with a 100 in total planned for the country.
For more fried chicken news, a variety of fried chicken eateries have opened in the area this past year, including Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken in Deep Ellum and celeb chef David Chang‘s recent fried chicken sandwich kitchen.
