Dallas has no shortage of exciting new additions to its hospitality scene to experience this year ranging from lavish restaurants to exciting fast-food joints.
Not only has Komodo, last year’s top-grossing restaurant, just opened a location in Dallas and Crown Block, Reunion Tower’s new restaurant just opened on its 18th floor, but Portillo’s has begun an expansion to DFW and the famed South African restaurant Nando’s along with Shaquille O’Neal’s new franchise Big Chicken are expected to opening the coming weeks.
Now another unique restaurant has opened in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Dropping a June opening date in an official press release in mid-May, Hamburger Mary’s has now officially opened in Dallas’s Oak Lawn neighborhood.
Described as “an open-air bar and grille for open-minded people” Hamburger Mary’s is known for its flamboyant dining experience and range of tasty food.
Founded over 50 years ago in San Francisco in 1972, the vibrant bar and grille has built a reputation for its frequent events and entertainment such as “Dining with the Divas” drag shows and charity “HamBingo Mary’s” as well as karaoke, trivia nights, and more.
This is now Hamburger Mary’s 14th location and just the second in Texas joining a location that already exists in downtown Houston.
“HV Entertainment and Hamburger Mary’s look forward to bringing this internationally-loved franchise to the Dallas community and the Oak Lawn neighborhood,” said Arthur Hood, franchisee of HV Entertainment.
“Since its inception, Hamburger Mary’s has served as a safe haven for both employees and customers alike in the LGBTQIA+ community, and that tradition will proudly continue at the Dallas location.”
The grand opening took place on Thursday, June 1, meaning it has now opened just in time for Pride Month in Dallas.
Hamburger Mary’s is open from 11 am to midnight Wednesdays through Sundays.
