There will be no shortage of fun in the Dallas-Fort Worth area once 2023 is through. In addition to the gigantic tech-infused mini-golf concept bar by Puttshack, a three-floor Soccer entertainment center by TOCA Social, and the experimental large-scale art venue from Meow Wolf yet another fun-packed experience has announced its imminent arrival in DFW.
Dallas-based On Brand Hospitality this week announced that an adults-only retro roller-skating rink named “Ride On” will be opening in Dallas this year along with an accompanying arcade, lounge, restaurant, and bar.
Taking up a full 17,000 square feet in the Dallas Design District, Ride On will open this coming fall on the corner of Riverfront and Pittsburg near Lula B’s and right next door to Texas Ale Project.
According to On Brand Hospitality, the “social drink rink” will offer craft cocktails, mocktails, and an elevated chef-driven menu as well as a disco ball DJ booth in the center, state-of-the-art sound systems, and custom-made skates. They claim it is unlike anything else in the world right now.
“We can say there is nothing like this in the world. Trust me, we’ve checked,” says Adrian Verdin, CEO of On Brand Hospitality. “An adult-only roller rink, quality food and beverage, state-of-the-art sound system, custom-made skates and we can’t wait to reveal who our chef is.”
Both Verdin and Vyctoria (Torry) Cray, COO of On Brand Hospitality, are intent on changing what they feel is an outdated reputation of roller skating rinks. Making it an adults-only roller-skating rink means they can offer a DJ booth and cocktails to give the place some verve and elegance that old-time rinks often lacked.
Though they will keep the ’80s cyberpunk atmosphere so guests can transport themselves back in time.
The new venture has both a website rideonskate.com and an Instagram page @rideondallas though at the time of writing neither were operational.
A more accurate fall opening date and more information will be provided as soon as it becomes available so stay tuned!
