Get ready for the summer of cinema, Dallas.
One positive thing that came from the pandemic has been the emergence of more and more outdoor cinema experiences. Now over a year later, these experiences are still going strong. Rooftop Cinema Club, a “social cinema” organization, is bringing more al fresco movie moments to Dallas this spring with their Summer Series at Heritage Village. “Summer Series is our new open-air cinema experience that brings seasonal movie-viewing to one-of-a-kind outdoor spaces – like Dallas Heritage Village,” the organization wrote in an email.
Centered in the historic, Old City Park, Dallas Heritage Village is an open air museum, filled with antique furnishings from the 1840-1910 period, to serve as the backdrop for the Summer Series.
“You can expect spacious cinema-style seating with adjustable deckchairs and bean bags set up in front of a big screen with our state-of-the-art wireless headphones for movie sound, plus food, drinks, music and games to enjoy before each screening.”
Sumer Series at Heritage Village starts on Thursday, May 27, with tickets now on sale.
Rooftop Cinema Club has yet to release their scheduled screenings and ticketing information, though this article will be updated once that information becomes available.
