In TV and cinema, is hard to think of anyone killing it more than Taylor Sheridan. From his new Texas-based series, Landman, to Yellowstone, Tulsa King – and this writer’s personal favorite project of his – Hell or High Water: it’s safe to say that Sheridan is on a tear.
The Texas-based writer/director is well established in the Lonestar State and is actually the 9th largest Texas landowner which includes his Four Sixes Ranch. Sheridan is expanding his portfolio outside of film with the purchase of Fort Worth’s iconic Cattlemen’s Steak House.
“Fort Worth is a vital city to both our state and our nation. It is where the west begins and where the cattle business was born. It is deserving of a gathering place for those who both shaped this city’s past and guide its future — where friendships can be fostered and formed, and the very best of this city can be celebrated,” said Sheridan in a press release.
Founded by Jesse and Mozelle Roach in 1947, Cattlemen’s Steak House has been a cornerstone of the historic Fort Worth Stockyards. The iconic steak house has served as an embodiment of cattle-driving heritage famed for its quality steaks, including “Heart o’ Texas” rib-eye.
With his partners in SGS Holdings Group, LLC, Dan Schryer and David Glasser, Sheridan has purchased Cattlemen’s Steak House with plans on retaining its heritage along with innovate western updates.
The multimillion-dollar renovations are presently ongoing. Plans call the creation of new bar, dining, and event spaces including an alfresco patio complete with a live music stage. Another key feature of the renovations is the exclusive new Cattlemen’s Club. Opening this summer, the Cattlemen’s Club is a members-only social and dining club that provides a space for business and leisure.
Designed in a Western spirit, by Duncan Design Group’s Tyler Duncan, the space is an homage to the frontier, complete with copper bar tops, warm hickory wood, and leather seating. The space, accessible by a private elevator, seats 130. A small number of memberships are presently available starting at $3,000 individually including a one-off fee of $1,000.
Corporate memberships of up to four members are also available for $9,000 annual fee plus $1,000 initiation fee.
Cattlemen’s Steak House is presently open at 2458 North Main Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76164.
