It’s a Texas Xmas.
The North Pole may well be on the polar opposite side of the planet, but here in Texas, a simple sleigh ride up to the town of Grapevine might suffice. Proudly proclaiming itself as the “Christmas capital of Texas”, Grapevine turns into a citywide winter wonderland during the holiday season with festive merriment awaiting around every corner!

See, for example, the Gaylord Texas Resort & Convention Center, who’ve created a 17,000-square-foot multisensory, walk-through exhibit that which features acres of Christmas family fun. This year’s joyful attractions include an eight-lane snow tubing hill, a 6,000-square-foot skating rink, and an immersive Elf-inspired interactive experience!
Or, for instance, the Grapewine Wine Train aka Polar Express. Passengers aboard the decked out 1920’s era engine will be transported through the most scenic parts of the area over two hours, as they listen to holiday classics spun by the live DJ, sip from fine Texas wine, munch on an assortment of charming hors d’oeuvres, and revel in the Christmas spirit.
Or, for the kiddos, there’s the North Pole Express wherein which all the good boys and girls can snuggle up in their PJs and take a journey on board the Trinity Metro TEXRail – complete with milk and cookies – to see Santa Clause.
And with just a few weeks left until the big day, visitors can also cram in their last minute shopping at Grapevine Mills and/or Historic Main Street while being treated to glowing arrangements of holiday decor.
