On the heals of receiving the MICHELIN Guide Texas 2025 Exceptional Cocktails Awards this past October, the previously MICHELIN Guide Recommended Mister Charles in Dallas has received further distinction as the sole restaurant in the DFW area to feature on OpenTable’s “Top 100 Restaurants in America 2025” list.
Housed inside the former landmark Highland Park Soda Fountain Building, Mister Charles is a sophisticated restaurant that blends French and Italian cuisine. Mister Charles is a concept from Duro Hospitality, a restaurant group behind many of Dallas revered establishments, including: Sister, The Chumley House, El Carlos Elegante, and The Charles.
Mister Charles is the sole DFW restaurant to feature on OpenTable’s 2025 list of the country’s best 100 restaurants. As the list is organized alphabetically, rather than numerically, Mister Charles wasn’t allotted any score or official ranking. The Dallas restaurant was one of only 10 Texas restaurants to make the list.
Here’s what OpenTable said about Mister Charles in its write-up:
“Mister Charles is Duro Hospitality’s most ambitious restaurant and bar. With irreverent takes on indulgent French and Italian dishes, elevated cocktails, rare wines, opulent over the top design and soaring 38-ft. ceilings, Mister Charles is redefining Dallas’ dining and tippling scene”.
The “OpenTable’s Top 100 Restaurants in America for 2025” list was compiled from over 10 million reviews submitted by verified diners between September 1, 2024, and August 31, 2025. Of the restaurants that met a minimal review threshold, OpenTable applied a number of metrics including: diner ratings and percentage of five-star reviews, percentage of advance-reservations, and online searches for the restaurant.

Mister Charles is located at 3229 Knox St. The venue is open from 4:30 pm – 10 pm Monday through Thursday; and from 4:30 pm through 11 pm on Saturdays.
