Months after parent company Outfox Hospitality merged Foxtrot market with Dom’s Hospitality of Chicago, reports reveal that the company plans to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Effective immediately, all 33 Foxtrot locations in Dallas are permanently closed as are its locations in Austin, D.C., and Chicago.
Foxtrot has 33 locations across four cities, including outposts in Greenville Ave., McKinney, Knox-Henderson, and Uptown.
“After much consideration and evaluation, we regret to announce that Foxtrot and Dom’s Kitchen & Market will be closing their doors starting April 23, 2024,” reads a statement by the company on its Instagram page.

“The closure affects 33 Foxtrots and 2 Dom’s grocery stores across Chicago, Austin, Dallas, DC areas. We explored many avenues to continue the business but found no viable option despite good faith and exhaustive efforts.”
According to reports, management informed its employees via a conference call on Tuesday that all stores would be closing and were told not to speak about it with customers.
“This decision has not been made lightly, and we understand the impact it will have on you, our loyal customers, as well as our dedicated team members. We want to express our sincerest gratitude for your support and patronage throughout the years,” said Foxtrot in a statement on Instagram.
A sign posted on one of its Chicago locations reads: “Foxtrot closed forever (not a joke)”. The note also reads “$180,000,000 in the hole”.
Foxtrot Market was known as a bustling market where visitors could enjoy local goods, artisanal snacks, craft beers, and more. It was a local favorite also for its fresh brewed coffee, gourmet eats, and good vibes.
