Summer is officially here, Dallas. Kick off this summer in Dallas with a bang at Klyde Warren Park for its sensational Independence Day Celebration slated for this Saturday, June 29.
Voted one of the best city parks in the United States by USA Today Readers’ Choice Awards, Klyde Warren Park is a beloved 5-acre oasis between Uptown and Dallas’ Arts District.
This Saturday, the park will host “The Official Independence Day Celebration for the City of Dallas”. While the main festivities will kick off at 7 pm, food trucks, carts, and Mi Cocina on the Park will open at 11 am.
Live music at Klyde Warren Park’s Independence Day Celebration starts at 7 pm with a performance from Frisco-native, country singer/songwriter, Grace Tyler. At 8:10 pm, fellow Texas singer/songwriter, Angel White, is slated to perform her unique blend of folk, soul, and country.
The Dallas Fourth of July celebration will be capped off with dual fireworks shows at 9:40 pm. The fireworks extravaganza will see two launch sites, rocketed from the east and west side of the park including one location off the rooftop of Dallas Museum of Arts. The fireworks will be synchronized by sounds provided by Dallas DJ, Lucy Wrubel.
Visitors can also see a patriotic light show at the Nancy Best Fountain and 5,000-square-foot splash pad from June 24 through July 7. The fountain will feature three 40-minute performances a night at 7, 8, and 9 pm synchronized to patriotic jams.
The Independence Day Celebration at Klyde Warren Park is free to the public, and is first-come, first-served. Blanket and lawn-chair seating is allowed. Food trucks will be on site from 11 am Saturday, June 29. The park is located at 2012 Woodall Rodgers Freeway. The park itself opens at 6 am.
